St. Patrick's Day: Emergent Reader Printable Books and other Reading Activities

Writer's picture: theprekprocesstheprekprocess

This is my latest resource I have loaded on TPT. This resource can be used in at least 3 ways. Of course you can come up with your own unique ways to use them. First and foremost use this as a Emergent Reader Printable book. This is a great repetitive language book to help your young readers.

Product Description

Emergent Reader Printable book: Using the black and white booklet, you can have a small group for this activity. Early emergent readers are beginning to learn sound/symbol relationships. With this repetitive wording it helps the young reader to recognize frequently used words, and the left/right pattern of reading. (Color copy included for teacher.)

Felt Board or Puppet Reenactment: Using the color book, and the images from the story I encourage you to let your students reenact the story either by using with a felt board, or with stick puppets. I do both with my students. Felt board: I simply copy the images on cardstock and laminate for durability. Then I stick a small piece of hard Velcro on the back so it will stick to the felt board. Puppets: I simply copy the images on cardstock and laminate for durability. Then I hot glue a popsicle stick to the back. https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/St-Patricks-Day-Reading-Activities-4385404
