I had the week off. We have a winter break in February. I love it! Usually in January I am "recovering" from the holidays and just don't feel like catching the "organization bug" like other people do. However, come February I am ready. I spent this week really focusing on my TPT store and on organizing my school supplies. My son, moved out two years ago. Wed had this empty room and for some reason I couldn't bring myself to do much with it. I did move my books and supplies into his small walk in closet. But the room basically sat empty. He took most of the furnishing when he moved out. I HATED going in that closet. I mean I really hated it. I am not claustrophobic but I would feel smothered trying to walk in there to find something. I took the plunge and I moved all my stuff out into the room and changed it from an empty sad room, to my "Room of Requirements". (hello all you Harry Potter Fans)
I reorganized my books. I moved an old desk in to the room. I covered the top of the desk with contact paper in a marble pattern to hide the scuffs and damage. Then, I did a little decorating to make the room feel fun to be in, Not a lot but just some of my favorite things.
Why is it organization and refreshing things can make such a difference. I wish I had done this two years ago! I love going in the room now, I just find myself walking in there now and smiling. :) Including pictures of the finished room.
Ignore that hideous blue carpet it is going to be replaced.
