The Sensory Table is a great way to interest your students in many different things. For the month of February we did a mixture of fun Valentine Day hearts, glitter pipe cleaners, gems, and heart shaped manipulatives. For a silly aspect we threw in some pink pigs. Of course we have scoops and small pales for dipping and pouring. Every time the kids come across a pig there is a great burst of laughter. Remember to make it fun and educational. We have a bowl for them to sort the pink heart manipulatives and one for red heart manipulatives. Then they can count and see which has more. They can race to find the pigs and see who finds more.
